Edit a communication history item in Business Contact Manager

You can edit communication history items in the Communication History folder or on the Communication History view of an Account, a Business Contact, an Opportunity, or Business Projectrecord. Editable items include tasks, appointments, business notes, and phone logs. E-mail messages or read-only files cannot be edited.

Edit a communication history item in the Communication History folder

  1. On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Communication History.

  2. Open the communication history item that you want to edit, and then make your changes.

    Note: By default, an already-linked file (such as a Microsoft Office Word* document, Publisher* publication, or Excel *workbook) opens in its appropriate program.

  3. On the Ribbon, in the Actions group, click Save & Close.

*The stand-alone edition of Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager can be used with the 2007 or 2003 versions of Word, Publisher, and Excel.

Edit a communication history item in a record

  1. On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Accounts, Business Contacts, Opportunities, or Business Projects.

  2. Open the record that contains the communication history item that you want to edit.

  3. On the Ribbon, in the Show group, click History.

  4. In the Communication History view, in the Communication history items section, open the communication history item and make the changes.

  5. On the Ribbon, in the Actions group, click Save & Close.
