Hello,

First, make sure the program you want to share is open.

If the program is open, check to see if it’s one of the following. Skype for Business can’t share the following programs during a program sharing session. But you can use Desktop Sharing to share these programs during a Skype for Business Meeting, call, or instant messaging (IM) conversation:

  • Skype for Business

  • Skype for Business Recording Manager (not available in Lync Basic)

  • File Explorer

  • Sticky Notes

  • Windows Sidebar

  • Zune Software

  • Programs with user privileges that are higher than the privileges for Skype for Business, such as Command Prompt

Important:  Also, for Lync Basic users only, OneNote sharing isn’t available.

Tip:  We recommend that you don’t share Windows Media Player in a meeting. If you need to show a video, you can insert it in a PowerPoint presentation and upload the file in the meeting to play the video.

Finally, program sharing isn’t available if you’re conducting your meeting on a remote computer running Windows Vista or an older version of Windows Server 2008.
