Domain

In Office Communications Server 2007 R2, each domain that will contain Office Communications Server 2007 R2 components must first be prepared for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 in Active Directory. If you decide that you no longer want to host Office Communications Server in a domain, you can also remove entries for Office Communications Server from that domain in Active Directory.

In the console tree, you can right-click a domain name, and then click Prep or Unprep, as appropriate.

In the results pane, you can do the following:

  • Use the Status tab to view the status of the domain.

  • Use the Resources tab to access documentation and other resources for Office Communications Server 2007 R2.

In Available Tasks in the action pane, you can manage domain preparation using Prep or Unprep, as appropriate.
