Customise a Microsoft Office Word template with a PayPal Payments button

With PayPal Payments, you have the option to include a PayPal Payments button in invoices that you send by e-mail. You can customise a Microsoft Office Word template to include the button that you want to use.

  1. On the Company menu, click Manage Word Templates.

  2. In the Manage Microsoft Office Word Templates dialog box, in the Template types list, click Invoice.

  3. In the Templates list, select the name of the invoice or late payment charge template that you want to edit and then click Modify.

Note: You can add the PayPal Payments button only to invoice and late payment charge templates.

The default PayPal Payments button appears in the template.

  4. To change the button style, do one of the following:

    • In Word 2007, on the Add-Ins tab, click User Settings in the Custom Toolbars group and then make a selection on the Button Image tab.

    • In Word 2003 or Word 2002, click User Settings on the PayPal Payments toolbar and then make a selection on the Button Image tab.

  5. To move the button to another location in the template, drag it to the desired location.

  6. When you are finished customising the template, save your changes.

  7. In the Save As dialog box, type a new name for the template and then click Save.

  8. To return to the Manage Microsoft Office Word Templates dialog box, click Close.

  9. Click Refresh to see the new template in the Templates list.

  10. To exit the Manage Microsoft Office Word Templates dialog box, click Close.

Now you can select the customised template each time you send an invoice or late payment charge in an e-mail message.
