Create friendly links from text in Microsoft OneNote

Whenever you type a URL in Microsoft OneNote, it is automatically converted to a link that you or other readers of the notebook can tap to open. You can also create more friendly looking links from existing text in your notes that can point readers to more information or relevant details about the subject of your notes.

iPad

Do the following:

  1. In any part of your written notes, select the text that you want to convert to a hyperlink.

  2. Tap Insert > Link.

  3. On the Insert Hyperlink screen, type the URL to the destination website into the Address box, and then tap Done.

iPhone

  1. In any part of your written notes, select the text that you want to convert to a hyperlink.

  2. On the menu bar that appears, scroll all the way left and then tap the Link icon that appears near the far right of the icons.

  3. On the Insert Hyperlink screen, type the URL to the destination website into the Address box, and then tap Done.
