Everyone makes typos and spelling mistakes. Fortunately, Word Online makes them easy to find and fix.
If you’re in Reading View, switch to Editing View by clicking Edit Document > Edit in Word Online.
While in Editing View, if you type a word that Word Online doesn’t recognize, it puts a red, wavy line under it:
Right-click the word to see a list of suggestions:
Then, click the suggestion you want to use.
Can Word Online also check grammar?
Unfortunately, no. But if you have the Word desktop program, you can click the Open in Word button to open your document in Word and check the grammar there:
After opening your document in Word, check the grammar. Then, press Ctrl+S to save your document to its original location.
Tip: Office Online is updated all the time with new features. Visit the Office Online blog for the latest news and announcements.
