Change the color or style of a line

You can change the thickness (or "weight") of a line, replace a solid line with dots or dashes by changing the line style, or change the color of a line.

Change the thickness of a line

  1. Click the line whose thickness you want to change.

    To select multiple lines, click the Select tool Selection Arrow tool , located in the top left area of the chart window, and then either drag an outline around the lines, or press and hold SHIFT while you click the lines.

  2. On the Lines menu, point to Thickness, and then click the option that you want.

    To choose the finest line that your printer can draw, click Hairline.

    To hide the connecting line, click None.

  1. Click the line whose style you want to change.

    To select multiple lines, click the Select tool Selection Arrow tool , located in the top left area of the chart window, and then either drag an outline around the lines, or press and hold SHIFT while you click the lines.

  2. On the Lines menu, point to Style, and then click the style that you want.
