With the Budget for Profit and Loss report, you can compare budgeted amounts to actual amounts over a selected time period.
Note: This is the accrual basis version of this report. For the cash basis version, see the link under Related topics.
Open the report
On the Reports menu, point to Company and Financial, and then click Budget for Profit and Loss.
Default information in this report includes budgeted and actual amounts and variances. To change column options, do the following:
On the toolbar, click Modify Report, and then in the Modify Report pane, select or clear the appropriate Columns options.
View different budgets
If you have created multiple budgets, you can view them from this report. To view a specific budget, do the following:
On the toolbar, click the arrow next to Budget, and then select a budget.
Change report basis or date range
To change the report basis for this report, do the following:
On the toolbar, click the arrow next to Report Basis, and then select Cash or Accrual.
To change the date range for this report, do the following:
On the toolbar, click the arrow next to Date Range, From, or To.
