Back up and restore database items

To back up the data that is stored in the Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 database, you can determine when those backups should occur. You can create an automatic backup that is based on a schedule that you create, or you can back up the database manually.

As an administrator, you can also restore items that have been accidentally deleted from the database.

  4. If you selected Projects from the Item list, select the version of the project that you want to restore as the current working version of the project.

Any changes that were made between when the item was deleted and when the item was most recently backed up cannot be restored.

Why can't I perform some actions in Microsoft Office Project Web Access?

Depending on the permissions settings you used to log on to Project Web Access, you may not be able to see or use certain features. Also, what you see on some pages may differ from what is documented if your server administrator customized Project Web Access and did not customize the Help to match.
