Associate Queue Path

Use this dialog box to specify the Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) path used by Archiving Server for the pool-level setting of the selected Front End Server or Standard Edition server.

Office Communications Server

This is the name of the server for which you are configuring an Archiving Server and cannot be edited.

Note:  If the Message Queuing queue used by Archiving Server is on the same computer as the selected Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Front End Server or Standard Edition server, you can use a period (.) in place of the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) when you specify the message queue path name.

Archiving Back-End Server

This is the FQDN of the computer running Archiving Server. To change the Archiving Back-End Server, click an available computer in the drop-down list box.

When you enable archiving, content that is to be archived is first written to the destination queue in Message Queuing before it is stored in the SQL Server database. In this release, the message queue path name is predetermined. The message queue path name cannot be specified when you install Archiving Server nor can it be modified after the Archiving Server is installed. Although the message queue name is the same as the SQL Server database name by default, the two are not related.
