Assigned Conference Directories

In the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 console tree, the Assigned Conference Directories node contains all conference directories that are assigned to a valid pool. In Office Communications Server 2007 R2, a conference directory is created on each pool when the pool is created. A conference directory can also be reassigned to a pool when it is moved from another pool (for example, when the pool must be deactivated or removed).

You can perform the following bulk actions on all assigned conference directories:

  • Move conference directories. Use the Move Conference Directory Wizard to move conference directories to a pool.

  • Delete conference directories. Use the Delete Conference Directory Wizard to delete conference directories from the forest.

When you perform these actions on the Assigned Conference Directories node in the console tree, the actions apply to all assigned conference directories in the pool. To perform these actions on an individual conference directory or selected conference directories, right-click the conference directory in the details pane.

Conference directories are used to map dial-in conference IDs to conference Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs). The mapping for a particular dial-in conference ID to a conference URI is maintained in the conference directory assigned to the pool on which the conference with dial-in conferencing support was originally scheduled.
