Add animation effects to your PowerPoint presentation

You can use PowerPoint on a Windows phone or tablet or Android phone or tablet to play back animation effects (motion) applied to text, pictures, shapes, graphics, and more. In addition, you can use the PowerPoint on an iPad or iPhone to add or remove animation effects in your presentation.

In PowerPoint, animations are not the same as transitions. An animation is assigned to a component within a single slide. A transition animates the way one slide changes to the next. For information about adding and removing transitions, go to Apply transition effects to your PowerPoint presentation with your mobile device.

Note:  You can't add sound effects or motion paths to animations in PowerPoint on mobile devices at this time.
