About the Scheduled Jobs page in Planning Business Modeler

The Scheduled Jobs page is in the Process Management workspace. It enables you to schedule automated system jobs, delete existing jobs, and edit existing jobs. To access this page, click ProcessManagement in the Workspace Browser pane, click the cycle that you want, and then click Scheduled Jobs.

PerformancePoint Planning Business Modeler supports the following types of scheduled jobs:

  • Calculation Rule

  • Consolidation

  • Currency Translation

  • Data Export

  • Data Load

  • Data Movement

  • Intercompany Reconciliation

  • Shares Calculation

Description

Scheduled Jobs

This page provides a list of jobs that are scheduled for the currently selected assignment.

Schedule Job Tasks

In this pane, you can perform various tasks that are related to scheduled jobs.

Job Properties

In this pane, you can view details about the assignment that you selected on the Forms Assignment page.

Advanced Properties

This pane shows the names of the users who are assigned to review this assignment. It also shows whether the review is finished.

Scheduled Jobs page

This area of the page lists the details about the scheduled jobs in the model.

Element

Description

Name

The name of the job

Owner

The user who created and scheduled this job

Type

The type of job, which is one of the following:

  • Calculation Rule

  • Consolidation

  • Currency Translation

  • Data Export

  • Data Load

  • Data Movement

  • Intercompany Reconciliation

  • Shares Calculation

Status

The status of the job, which will be one of the following: Not Started, Running, Finished, Failed, Canceled, or Aborted. When the Assignment or Job status is Failed, you might be able to get more information about the reason for failure. To display the information, click the underlined word Failure in this column and then click the ellipsis (…) button. If the ellipsis button is not displayed, there is no more information about the failure.

Next scheduled start date

The time and date when the job is scheduled to start.

Actual start date

The time and date when the job actually starts. It might not correspond to the date when the job was scheduled to start.

Schedule Job Tasks pane

In this pane, you can perform various tasks related to scheduling a job.

Description

Schedule a Job

Click this link to start the Schedule a Job Instance wizard and schedule a job.

Edit Job

Click this link to open the Edit a Job Instance dialog box and modify the properties for this scheduled job.

Copy a Job

Click this link to copy a job and use those properties to schedule another job.

Available Actions

Click to open the Available Actions for Job dialog box.

Delete a Job Template

Click this to delete the job template. To delete a job template, you must be a member of the Modeler role or the Data Administrator role, or you must be the job owner.

Job Properties pane

This pane displays the details about the scheduled job that you selected in the workspace.

Name

The name of the job.

Owner

The user who created and scheduled this job.

Type

The type of the job, which is one of the following:

  • Consolidation rules

  • Intercompany reconciliations

  • Shares calculations

Status

The status of the job, which is one of the following: Not Started, Running, Finished, Failed, Canceled, or Aborted.

Next scheduled start date

The time and date when the job is scheduled to start.

Actual start date

The time and date when the job actually starts. It might not correspond to the date when the job was scheduled to start.
