Element

Description

Available Actions

Opens a dialog box that uses the following parameter options.

  • Append

  • Scoped Replacement

  • Full Replacement

After you select the parameter values, click OK to copy the fact data from the source model to the destination model.

Note:  For the data movement to be implemented, every source and destination dimension must be mapped or scoped, and both model sites must be deployed. This task is disabled until the association is checked in.

Save Association

Saves the association to the application database and updates the association object in the client cache. This task is enabled only if an association is created or modified.

Check In/Check Out

Check In saves the association to the application database and releases the lock on the association. Check Out locks the association to prevent other users from modifying or running it.

Note:  If the underlying metadata changes, an error occurs when you try to check out an association.

Cancel Check Out

Cancels the checkout and ignores all changes in memory. It also updates the association object in the client cache to the last saved state. This task is enabled only when an association is checked out to you.

Delete Association

Prompts you to confirm that the selected association can be deleted. When you confirm the deletion, all dimension and member associations are deleted. This task is enabled only when an association that you checked out is selected.

Create an Association

Click this link to open the New Association dialog box, which you use to create an association that defines the relationship between a source model and a destination model.
