In Business Contact Manager for Outlook, you can use Business Projects and related project tasks to keep track of the many activities that are part of your business. These project tasks are linked to a Business Project record and can be assigned to an authorized user of your Business Contact Manager database.

Create and assign project tasks
A Business Project, such as a sales meeting, can include several project tasks that need to be completed, and can be delegated, such as arranging for a meeting space, delivering refreshments, or creating, producing, and delivering sales materials.
Note: Attachments, such as files or e-mail messages cannot be added to Project tasks, but they can be added to the linked Business Project. For more information, see About Business Projects in Business Contact Manager.
Create and assign a new project task
On the Business Project form, in the Project tasks section, click New.
Name the project task and link it to a Business Project.
In the Project task information section, in the Assigned to field, select an authorized user to own the project task.
In the Project task settings section, enter a start and finish date, and enter a priority for the project task.
Details of the project task, including the name of the user it is assigned to, the start and finish dates, and status, appear on the Business Project form, in the Project tasks section.
Update a project task assigned to you
When a project task is assigned to you, you can see it in the Outlook To-Do bar.
In Outlook, on the View menu, point to theTo-Do Bar, and then click Normal.
Open and update a project task
Open the project task, by clicking it in the To-Do Bar.
In the Project task settings section, update the current status, percentage complete, and whether the task needs attention from the Business Project owner.
In the Comments section, you can paste comments from other files or type comments directly about the Business Project. Click the Add Time Stamp button to date your comments.
After you have saved the project task form, the latest information from this record appears in the linked Business Project form.
Track activity for project tasks linked to your Business Project
As the Business Project owner, you can keep track of the activity for the project tasks by reviewing at the Business Project record.
View project tasks
On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Business Projects, and open the business project you want to review.
In the Project overview section, you can see the completion status of all the project tasks linked to this Business Project record.
In the Project tasks section, you can view detailed information about the status. You can also open any task from here.
Select a task and double-click it.
Note: To change what details appear in the Project tasks section, right-click a column header and click Field Chooser. Drag a column heading from the Field Chooser to the Project tasks section to display information from that field.
Delete a project task
You can delete an open project task from the Ribbon, which is part of the Microsoft Office Fluent user interface, or a closed project task from the menu.
Delete an open project task
In an open project task, on the Ribbon, on the Project Task tab, in the Actions group, click Delete.
Delete one or more closed project tasks
On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Project Tasks.
Select the project task or tasks you want to delete, and then, on the Standard toolbar, click the Delete button .
