You can use the asterisk sign (*) to multiply values on Excel. You can multiply:

  1. Cells (e.g. =A9*A10)

  2. individual values (e.g. =50*30)

    or

  3. A mix of both (e.g. =H9*20)

Multiply in Excel

  1. Select a cell.

  2. Type =.

  3. Type a number or select a cell.

  4. Type an asterisk (*).

  5. Type a number or select a cell to multiply by.

  6. Press Enter.
