Running a macro in a 2007 custom Forms tool

Macros allow you to run processes on all or selected items in a data view. These processes allow you to do things like change the value of a field in a set of items at once, or extract field data from a set of items.

  1. Select the data view in which you want to the run the macro.

  2. If appropriate, select the items on which you want to run the macro.

    You can also run a macro on Search results. You may sometimes want to search for a set of specific items for the macro to update.

  3. On the View tab, click Run Macro and then click the macro you want to run.

    Note   Run Macro is enabled only if the tool contains at least one macro.
