Error code 30094-4 when installing Office

If you see error code 30094-4 when you try to install Office, deleting your temporary files might fix the problem. If that doesn’t work, run an Online Repair or remove Office with the Fix it tool, and then reinstall Office.

Delete your temporary files

  1. Use Disk Cleanup to delete your temporary files:

  2. After Disk Cleanup finishes, start the Office install again:

    If you’re a home user, sign in to your account page and click Install.

    If you’re a business user, sign in to the Office 365 portal and click Install.

If deleting your temporary files doesn’t work, run an Online Repair of Office.

Run an Online Repair of Office

  1. Close the error message.

  2. Open Control Panel.

  3. Go to Programs and Features.

  4. In the list of installed programs, click the latest version of Office, and click Change.

  5. Click Online Repair, and then click Repair.

If the repair doesn’t work, the next step is to remove Office with the Fix it tool, and then install.

Remove and reinstall Office

  1. Click this Fix it.

  2. At the bottom of your browser screen, click Open.

    Click Open

  3. After the Fix it tool is done, install Office again:

    If you’re a home user, sign in to your account page and click Install.

    If you’re a business user, sign in to the Office 365 portal and click Install.
