Your Office 365 subscription lets you download and install Office on these devices:

PC or Windows tablet | Mac | iPhone | iPad | Android phone | Android tablet

Download and install Office on a PC or Windows tablet

Tip   In some situations, your goal might not be to install but to reinstall Office. For example, maybe you replaced a broken hard drive.

  1. Sign in to your My Account page, and choose Install.

  2. If you want to install the 32-bit version, on the Install page, in the Install Information section, choose Install.

    The 32-bit version works for many of us, but if you want to install the 64-bit version:

    Tip   If you don’t have any installs left, you can deactivate one.

  3. Follow the steps in the dialog box to complete the installation.

  4. When you see "You're good to go", choose All done.

    When you see "You're good to go", choose the "All done" button.

    Tip   After installing, learn how to find the Office applications that you just installed.

Some subscriptions allow you to install Office on more than one computer that you use. You just sign in with the same account and use the same installation procedures. So, for example, you can work on your laptop when you're portable and your desktop at home.

  • Office 365 Personal allows you to install on 1 PC or Mac, 1 tablet (including iPad and Android tablet), and 1 phone.

  • Office 365 Home allows you to install on 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets (including iPad and Android tablet), and 5 phones.

  • Office 365 University allows you to install on 2 PCs, Macs, or tablets (including iPad and Android tablet) and 2 phones.

Download and install Office on a mobile device

On your iPhone, download Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint from the Apple app store. For help setting up the app, see Install and set up Office on an iPhone with Office 365.
