Probleme mit Auswirkungen auf Excel-Features und -Add-Ins

Letzte Aktualisierung: 13. Oktober 2017

PROBLEM

ISSUE

You receive an error when saving a workbook after inserting a chart in an existing workbook (previously saved) or copying values from an existing workbook.

Errors were detected while saving <workbook name>. Microsoft Excel may be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features. To make repairs in a new file, click Continue. To cancel saving the file, click Cancel.

If you click Continue, you get the following error:

Excel encountered errors during save. However, Excel was able to minimally save your file to <file name>.

This issue impacts build Version 1707 (Build 8326.2086) and later, and also only occurs with files that are stored locally, such as on the desktop. This problem does not occur if you manually enter values or insert a chart in a newly created workbook.

STATUS: WORKAROUND

Our engineering team is working on a fix. In the meantime, you can do the following as a workaround:

  1. Change the number format referred to in the chart in the workbook to Custom.

  2. Under Additional Regional Settings, change the Format Setting to English (U.S.). Afterwards, you should be able to save, even after you change your regional settings back to their original place.

ISSUE

Can’t set password programmatically for sheet protection in older files, in Excel for Win32 Office 365

STATUS: FIXED

In builds 16.0.8067.2115 and later (production), and 16.0.8201.2064 and later (Insiders), there is an issue with setting sheet protection with a password programmatically. In this scenario, the password will not be applied. The issue only affects files created in Excel 2010 or prior, when sheet protection with a password is turned on programmatically. This means, for example, using Sheet1.Protect “password”. It will not occur when sheet protection is enabled through the user interface. This will not happen in any files created in Excel 2013 or later. Some users may experience that sheet protection can be switched off without providing a password.

This issue has been fixed in builds 16.0.8201.2102 and later.
