Set preferences for your presence information

You can set preferences in Communicator for Mac 2011 that will automatically show status information based on your schedule in the Outlook for Mac 2011 calendar. For example, if you are in a meeting, your status information in Communicator changes to In a meeting. Also, when you set your Out of Office information in Outlook, the status in Communicator displays your Out of Office message.

  1. On the Communicator menu, click Preferences.

  2. On the Account tab, under Personal Information Manager, do any of the following:

Use the Exchange client calendar information to display both your Out of Office information and your presence status

Select the Use the Exchange client as my Personal Information Manager check box.

Display either the Out of Office information or the presence information based on the Exchange client calendar information

Select the Use the Exchange client as my Personal Information Manager check box and then select either the Display my Out of Office information to my contacts check box or the Update my presence based on Exchange calendar information check box.

  1. Bemærk: If you disable the Exchange client as your Personal Information Manager, this might affect the functionality of other Office Communicator features.
