I see ##### instead of content in some cells

Cause: The cell contains a number, date, or time that is wider than the cell.

Solution:    Increase the width of the column.

  • Double-click the separator on the right side of the kolonneoverskrift for the column that you want to adjust.

    Tip: To increase the width of multiple columns, select the columns that you want to adjust, and then double-click the separator on the right side of the column heading for any of the selected columns.

Solution:    Shrink the contents to fit the column.

  1. Select the column by clicking the kolonneoverskrift.

  2. On the Format menu, click Cells.

  3. On the Alignment tab, select the Shrink to fit check box.

    If the Shrink to fit check box is unavailable, clear the Wrap text check box.

Solution:    Decrease the number of decimal places that are displayed.

  1. Select the cells.

  2. On the Home tab, under Number, click Decrease the number of decimal places  Reducer antallet af decimaler .

Cause: The cell contains a date or time formula that produces a negative result.

Solution:    Change dates and times to positive values.

If you are using the default 1900-datosystem, dates and times in Excel must be positive values.

Solution:    Display the cell value by using a format that is not a date or time format.

  1. Select the cells.

  2. On the Home tab, under Number, on the Number Format pop-up menu, click a category that is not Date or Time.
