Go to File > Account.
If you just opened the app, select Account.

Under Product Information, see your Office product name and version number.

For more information, choose the About button to see the full version number and bit version (32-bit or 64-bit).

Open any Office application and create a new document.

For example, go to Word and choose About Word.

You can see a dialog with the version number as well as the license type.
