As an authorized Microsoft Cloud Partner, Microsoft 365 offers you an opportunity to grow your client base and create lasting relationships with your clients. With Microsoft 365, they can use cloud-based services—they don’t have to manage data backups, server hardware, and server updates. They’re willing to pay a monthly or annual fee for the peace of mind that these and other services provide. Use the features on the Partner admin center to send your clients trial invitations and purchase offers, and to offer them delegated administration services, depending on the services you are authorized to provide. You can also use product keys to set up your client’s Microsoft 365 subscription.

When you sign in to Microsoft 365, click Partner to go to the Partner admin center. You’ll see different links on the Client management or Partner overview page, depending on the types of services you’re authorized to provide.

Verify your company information

Before you communicate with your clients for the first time, make sure that your company information is correct. Your clients can see your company information, such as phone number and email address, in a variety of locations in Microsoft 365.

If you are a global admin, you can edit this information. For more information, see Change your organization's address and other profile information.

You can create and send invitations to send to your customers so they can try out Microsoft 365. An invitation can contain a single trial subscription.

If you are certified to offer delegated administration, you can add an option to the trial invitation that allows you to administer the subscription on behalf of your customer. This makes it easier for your customer to try out Microsoft 365.

When you create a trial invitation, a custom URL is created for you. The URL has an embedded code that identifies you as the subscription advisor. You can use this URL for one customer or for multiple customers. You can send the URL to your customer in an email or post it on your website.

For more information about trial invitations, see Create a trial invitation.

When you create the purchase offer, a custom URL is created for you. The URL has an embedded code that identifies you as the subscription advisor. You can use this URL for one customer or many customers. Send the URL to your customer in an email or post it on your website.

If your customer wants a different number of licenses, send them a new offer or they can change the number of licenses when they purchase the subscription.

If you have clients who already subscribe to Microsoft 365, you can give them a deeper level of support by offering delegated administration. As a delegated administrator, you perform most of the administration tasks for your client’s subscription.

When you send out a trial invitation or a purchase offer, you can offer delegated administration to your clients. You can also send an offer for delegated administration after your client has purchased a subscription.

To administer services on behalf of your client, the client must authorize you as a delegated administrator by accepting your offer. For more information, see Offer delegated administration.
