If you bought Microsoft 365 at a store, you may have received a product key. Here's how to redeem it.

Go to Office.com/setup.

Sign in with your Microsoft account, or create one if you don't have one. Be sure to remember this account so that you can install or reinstall Office later, without a product key.
Important: If you're renewing an Microsoft 365, enter the Microsoft account that's associated with your subscription. I can't remember my Microsoft account.

Enter your Office product key, without hyphens.

Follow the prompts to finish the redemption process.
Note: If your work or school gave you Microsoft 365, you won't need to redeem a product key. Your admin did it for you.
