Internet Explorer for Mac

Support is no longer offered for Internet Explorer for Mac. You can use another web browser, such as Safari.

Office v. X

Support is no longer offered for Microsoft Office v. X. For information about the latest version of Office for Mac, see Office for Mac on the Microsoft website.

Virtual PC for Mac

Microsoft is no longer developing Virtual PC for Mac. Mainstream Support for Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 ended April 13, 2010. Self-Help Online Support is available throughout a product's lifecycle and for a minimum of 12 months after the product reaches the end of its support. Microsoft online Knowledge Base articles, FAQs, troubleshooting tools, and other resources, are provided to help customers resolve common issues. For more information, see the Product Solution Center on the Microsoft Support website.

As an alternative to Virtual PC for Mac, you can use Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2 to connect to a Windowsbased computer and work with programs and files on that computer from your Mac. Windows Media Player for Mac OS X

Microsoft is no longer developing Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X. There are no plans to provide future updates or product support for this application. As an alternative to Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X, you can use the Windows Media Components for QuickTime, by Flip4Mac. With Windows Media Components for QuickTime, you can play Windows Media files (.wma and .wmv) directly in QuickTime Player and view Windows Media content on the Internet by using a web browser, such as Safari.
